Overview & Reviews
The Monte Carlo receives only minor changes for the 2003 model year. The base LS model has been upgraded with standard four-wheel disc brakes, traction control and remote keyless entry. Both the LS and SS models sport newly styled wheels, four new exterior colors and the option of adding XM Satellite Radio.
- Spacious interior, low sticker price, strong V6 in SS models.
- Mediocre performance, bland interior with cheap materials, no passenger side-impact airbag.

Built Like a Rock - 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By bgblockchevy - July 6 - 10:00 amI have had my Monte since 11-02 and I have been averaging about 20k miles a year. Great car, but I find getting performance parts are hard to find. Drives and handles the road very well. For a NASCAR style car, it should be a rear wheel drive car.

By supersport guy - July 4 - 10:00 ami have a 01 ss monte blk with blk cloth. just returned with it from florida and averaged 27-28mpg at 65+ with ac on...great for a heavy car. MY 2003 MONTE CARLO SS - 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By SPENCER - May 29 - 2:00 amI LOVE MY MONTE CARLO SS, MY CAR BEFORE IT WAS AN 01 CAMARO SS, BUT IM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE POWER MY MONTE CARLO HAS EVEN THOUGH ITS A V6. MINE IS BLACK ON BLACK, AND I HAD THE WINDOWS TINTED WHICH MADE IT LOOK AWESOME.I HAVE PUT 18 INCH CHROME RIMS ON IT AND A CATBACK FLOWMASTER EXHAUST SYSTEM ALSO. I HAVE TO ADMIT THOUGH THAT IT HAS BEEN VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND AFTERMARKET PERFORMANCE PARTS FOR MY CAR, BUT OTHER THEN THAT I GIVE IT AN A+

No resale value - 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By Robert Herrera - May 18 - 10:00 amThis vehicle has no resale value. I recently tried to trade this vehicle inn for a new truck. I was surprised that a 1 year old vehicle in imaculate condition will loss that much value sticker on this veh was $32.0000 I was surprised that the dealer where I bought this veh would only offered $13,000 trade in value on a Jeff Gordon Signature Car. I am very disapointed.

Sweet ride! - 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By Sittin Phat - March 28 - 2:00 amI fell in love with the looks of the SS with the High Sport Appearance package and I catch many people staring at the car. The black with the silver trim is very attractive! Great car!

LOVE IT - 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By Bill Behrendt - March 17 - 10:00 amThis is my first NEW Chevy ever. I loved the looks and after a test drive I was hooked. Handles great acceleration for a 200 Hp engine is good. It spins the rubber quite fine from a dead stop. I get a lot of complements and women like it!

Best car Ive ever driven - 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By xphyle6774 - January 15 - 2:00 amI am so pleased with the Monte Carlo! I always wanted a vehicle that not only looked great, but out-performed any other vehicle I previously owned. For a larger car, It is very easy to maneuver in parking lots and garages. The fuel efficiency surprised me for a V6, averaging better mileage than most 4-cyl. engines Chevy produces. I am a tall person, 5 11", and the interior design suits me well, even in the back seat. I owned a truck before and was worried about losing cargo space. No way...the trunk is HUGE.

Great Car - 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By SDK-ASK - December 11 - 9:03 pmBought as a GM certified car. It had 29k on it. The price was decent, the equipment level is great. Plenty of power, plenty of amenities. I got to drive it for 3 weeks before my wife borrowed it, she fell in love with it, and has been drving it since. (oh well, gotta keep her happy I guess) I got a new truck, but still enjoy driving this car. Even with 60k-plus miles, it still has plenty of power. Turn off the trction control, and spinning the tires is not a problem. The response from others is still very positive. If you are looking for a 2- door, but are concerned about space for backseat passengers, look no further. This car has plenty. Drive one, youll love it.
